Jnanashram

Promoted by the ACT, Jnanashram is the brainchild of Mr. Rudraraju Sree Rama Raju (Srihari) and the first major project to fulfill his philanthropic dream of building a Home for the Aged. The main objective of Jnanashram is to provide shelter with required amenities for those who, at their advanced age, want to live a life of peace & tranquility, and also do not have the resources to live independently. Jnanashram strives to provide the aged with a place to live with dignity and grace, and provide them support to lead a healthy and peaceful life during their twilight years.

The land, buildings, infrastructure, furniture, and house equipment are donated by the trustees to the Ashram Charitable Trust.

Jnanashram received donations from well wishers and friends who share the same passion in the form of adopting individual/group of senior citizens or some prefer donating money to the corpus fund to support the ashram inmates daily requirements.

The ashram is managed on a day-to-day basis by a dedicated support team, an advisory body, and an organizing committee. The committees have been specifically established to address all the issues of Jnanashram.

Jnanashram is located in the outskirts of Hyderabad amidst a serene atmosphere with a farm and spacious outdoors. The 64,000 sq.ft. building is well ventilated and constructed in an area of 2.5 acres dedicated to the ashram. The ashram is located in Kandlakoi Village – close to the Hyderabad-Nagpur highway, 18 km from Secunderabad Railway Station, and 60 km. from Hyderabad International Airport.
